Overview

In 2001, my friend Mykhailo Lyubich and I took part in a world-wide Java smart card programming contest held by American Express. As part of his doctoral thesis, Mykhailo implemented a digital wallet for the new American Express Blue line of credit cards using the SET protocol. I built a functional mock-up online shopping website in HTML and JavaScript to integrate and demonstrate this then new form of secure electronic payment.

Our project was selected as one of the ten finalists and won a cash prize. I was invited to the American Express headquarters in New York City and presented our work. The following downloads were part of the package that we submitted along with our contest entry.
